FAQ

 

  1. What qualification level is required to participate in brevet? For registration, it is enough to complete one BRM (300km or more) in 2016. For advanced cyclers who has experience of 600km rides – to finish 200 km brevet is enough.

 

  1. What is the entry fee? How to pay entry fee?

Entry fee is about 100 EUR. Subject to confirm.

 

  1. What is included in entry fee?

Route sheet, food at controls, overnight stop at some controls, bag-drop (at finish and in-between points), shower, food and possibility to have a rest at finish point are included in entry fee. Subject to change.

 

  1. How to cross the border? Do I need visa?

First border crossing point on bicycle from Russia to EU, Lithuania on Curonian spit – Morskoye – Nida. Second border crossing point from Estonia to Russia – Narva – Ivangorod.

 

- Russian and CIS residents need valid Schengen visa to cross EU border.

- Russian and CIS non-residents need Russian multi-entry visa. There will be 2 entries to country. Possibly later there will be some releases regarding simplifying of visa regime due to World Football Cup 2018 in Russia in time of event.

 

  1. What equipment is strictly required on brevet?

Your bicycle should be in good order; also, you need to have two spare inner tubes, pump, and reflective jacket. Every participant should wear a helmet during the whole ride. In addition, in nighttime (since 11 p.m. up to 6 a.m.) it is necessary to use rear red light (non flash) and front white light and wear reflective jacket during the nighttime.

Everyone will get personal number. It should be fixed on your bicycle during the ride.
